It is the 103 model, and construction started in
May of 2003. It was complete in May of 2004, and first flown by
my EAA Technical Counselor and Flight Advisor Eric Clutton. The
paint is Sherwin Williams DTM Latex.
The engine is the single cylinder Hirth F33, generating
28 HP with a 54” “B” blade PowerFin propeller.
It burns 2 GPH, and I’ve flown it two hours on several occasions.
It cruises at 50 MPH.
It took a year, and over 600 hours to complete.
I now have 40 hours of actual flight time. I’m about to
get all the bugs worked out…
