Larry
Vetter's Mini-MAX

Here are a couple of photos of ole SN#104. This is the one I fly
and is our(my brother and I) first miniMAX. We did build one in
1990 for a guy from Texas(SN#304). It was painted just like ours,
but had the 447 and a BRS chute(his choice). Man, that miniMAX
was a rocketship!!! What a blast it was to fly:) I was lucky enough
to put a few hours on it before he came and picked it up. Its
been sold two or three times since, and I have now lost track
of its whereabouts.
The one my brother flies is actually the oldest
kit(SN#39) which he bought from a second owner that started to
build it then decided not to finish it. The guy my brother bought
it from built the 1/2 VW for it. I think he also had some of the
fittings made and maybe a few pieces, but not much.
Team miniMAX SN#104 is a box stock original miniMAX. My brother
Dennis and I built it in 1988, this was the first of three TEAM
aircraft we built. SN# 104 is a totally stock miniMAX with the
Rotax 277 for power. The airplane flies well with the 277 and
has been great fun over the last 17 years. The airframe has proven
very rugged and besides replacing the axle once( my own fault)
it has been pretty much maintenance free. The engine has been
rebuilt twice. Built as designed the miniMAX will give you many
hours and years of great fun. Thanks Wayne, and all for a great
flying fun airplane.
